I had great fun upcycling this this old book case and turning it into a chic classy piece of furniture.

As with all my pieces it was cleaned thoroughly and left to dry before being painted in Annie Sloan oxford navy with a clear and black wax to seal. The inside was dark and miserable and needed brightening up so I chose Annie Sloan old white and used a Prima marketing Blossom Flight Birds transfer on the back of the unit which just finished this beautiful piece off.

I changed the handles to small crystal glass which stand out perfectly against the navy wood.

This is a lovely unit that is not too big in size but big enough to stand out in any room.
